Every year September 15th is celebrated as Engineers' Day on the memory of Sir.M.Visvesvarayya. Sir.M.V was an eminent civil engineer who had contributed to the development of society in all the possible ways. He had designed an automatic weir water floodgates. And it was first installed in a dam near Pune. Later this technology was also used for Krishnarajsagar Dam. He was knighted as commander of Indian Empire by the King George V. He was honoured by Indian government with Bharat Ratna. He was honoured with honorary doctoral degrees by various universities. He worked for the society through his life time. He is a very good role model to all engineers, thats why we are celebrating his birthday as Engineers' day. Wish you all 'Happy Engineers' day'.
